    Hello!

    Does anyone know anything about the books that David Lyne-Gordon has written about receipents of the Knight's Cross of the War Merit Cross.

    As an avid historian of RKT from all branches of the Wehrmacht, I too would appreciate some feedback as to the quality and content of these books, anyone at all have any copies in their collections?

    Always looking for Luftwaffe Kampfflieger related document groups. In particular anything to Kampfgeschwader 2.

      I bought the two books and they contains list over all who got the cross and dates in their service history. Date of birth and when they died. When they got different decoratinons and in some cases NSADAP/SS membership number. No pictures of the receipents.
      In some cases a descripion of what they were doing.
      How they earned the cross.
      It is a good book for those who are interested in the men behind the cross. In combination with Gordon Williamsons book, it gives additional information about the reciepents. But I think it is rather expensive.
      I found it wort owning since it is giving a cronological overview over important dates.
