    Help with a Movie PLEASE!!

    Guys,
I was watching late night TV awhile ago and happened on this movie. It seems that a Jewish boy( the Germans didn`t know he was Jewish) was adopted by a squad of German soldiers as a type of mascot. To try and make along story short, this kid tried to surrender to the Russians but the Russians thought they were being attacked and surrendered to him making him a hero to the squad. Because of this, he was sent back to Germany to live with the commanding officers wife and go to an elite HJ school to learn to become a good Nazi. The scenes that show how he tried to hid the fact that he was Jewish were totally Does this movie ring a bell with anyone and might you know the name of it?
    Thanks

Don't believe everything you read on the internet, that's how WWI got started.

And based on a true story from the autobiography of Solomon Perel. I too have seen part of this movie but just recently heard a peice on NPR radio about it and Mr. Perel. I suppose that I have going to have to go rent this one now if I can find it!

Very good movie, although, if I remember correctly, the equipment was not actual period pieces. It's available at half.com for under 10 dollars. Enjoy

Yes, at that price, you might be better off just buying it--especially if you like having your own copy of good period movies. I'd say that even with possible equipment inaccuracies, it's a good one to add to any collection.

P.S. Hi, Stahlhelm47! I'd say you're likely to be the same Stahlhelm47 I met at the last SOS. I doubt there'd be more than one.

                Hi Cris,

                A great historical movie !

Try to get a copy of the Documentary Film too.

View the film first and after that the documentary, were the old man is telling the story himself, interview with his former wartime girlfriend (saying that if she knew that time he was a jew, she would have report him to the police immediately) other HJ members from that period etc.

                yours friendly

                    Hi Chris,

Sorry but I don't recall the title of the documentary !

Maybe a search on Google will help ?, using the man's name.

                        Hi, Dr. Strangelove,

Now, I'll have to watch that movie again, just to get another look at that particular "hottie" you mentioned. I guess you could say that movie has something in it for everyone.

Well maybe it has to do with the name "Dr. Strangelove" and that you were looking at the wrong type of movie......"Hottie" and "Scharfe Schnitte" are more to find in the so called "Adult movies" ........
