    The Last Surviving Tommy

Has anyone read "The Last Fighting Tommy"?

I started reading it tonight and am captivated and disturbed by the story of Harry Patch; I've read many memoirs of those who served in WW1, however this is exceptionally captivating and disturbing.

I have read the book and found it a very humbling experience. The horrors this man went through,we cannot imagine. He returned and started his life again,a marvellous achievment.Today you have silly people who need counciling because their cat died.It makes you think.Really good book, well written.

An amazing read from start to finish.

Anyone with an interest in the hardship of life itself that individuals have to go through should read this book, and not just those who have an interest in WWI.

Words here cannot do justice as to the horrors this man witnessed. Read it before any other biography.

      Regards Richard.
Always looking for Luftwaffe Kampfflieger related document groups. In particular anything to Kampfgeschwader 2.
