    Daniele,

the book introduces all the equipment in depth and after that the several regiments that fought in Normandy, Waffen-SS and Heer. Tons of data and pictures. I can only recommend it.

I have i too. It covers 6.6.44 upto the retreat and closure of the Falaise Pcoket. A very good reference tool.

Hi Daniele, any of these "Then & Now" After the Battle publications I would wholeheartly recommend. I don't own them all, but I have borrowed friends editions in some case. First rate stuff.

          Cheers, Ade.

"Panzers In Normandy" was the first "After The Battle" Publication I bought way back in 1983 - it has travelled very well over the years and since then I have bought most of their books , a class act.
their "D-Day Vol 1 and 2" , "Villers Bocage through the lens" and "Ruckmarsch" books are amongest the best you will find on Normandy.

Had a meeting with my Mothers accountant the other morning who is in his early 20's & didn't realise he was interested in this kind of stuff, but he's off to Normandy for the first time in June.
This book looks interesting as a recommendation to him.
What books would you recommend for someone's first trip to Normandy. I gathered that he's interested in the actual landings.
                Thanks, Ant.

Major Holt's guide to Normandy would be an excellent front seat passanger to anyone "doing the beaches" - it covers the region , what is to be seen , suggested routes to take optium use of time and to take maxium advantage of opportunities.
"The Longest Day" is still a good read as is "Decision in Normandy".
