Manual of German Air Force Terminology

Published by the Air Ministry. An absolute must for anyone collecting documents, SB or WP. Must be old news to the veteran collectors and researchers but just got my copy today and its going to make my life soooo much easier. Highly recommended if you dont have it yet.

Though its Luftwaffe, a lot of the terms and abbreviations were used by Heer and KM too. Amazon UK still have copies, i received mine in 5 days!!!

It was published by the Air Ministry in that format in late 1944 or early 1945 for use by the A.I.12 Post-Hostilities PoW and document exploitation teams. In was a drastically edited version of one compiled during the war that ran 350+ pages and was classified. I saw a copy of the longer version in some boxes I was going through at the Suitland Federal Records Center in the D.C. area about 20-22 years ago. I remember thinking at the time how I would love to have it, but it would have taken forever to photocopy the tome because researchers were only allowed 10 minutes of copier time per hour and only if a copier was available!
