Re: Schiffer Publishing. My books from them are a mix of mainly text, such as "JG301-302,", and "Scorched Earth" by Paul Carrell., and numerous "picture heavy" volumes. Yes, some of H&C's translations are a bit rough, but always understandable, and I still believe they provide good value. Their recent book on the USMC of WWII is particularly good, IMHO. However, I still believe that Schiffer editing can be poor, ironically in books with little text for the most part, which tend not to be reprints, or translations, as many of their "word heavy" books are. Believe me, I value them as a publisher, but sometimes you don't get what you pay for. For example, the recent book on prints by Herbert Knotel they published,is a slapdash, lousy effort, in my opinion, and I returned mine to Amazon for a refund.

Agree on that "can be poor" part. The reason why I am lenient on this aspect is that Schiffer publishes many books that would not otherwise be published due to their length or topic.
