    SS memoir: "Dance of Death"

This was written by Erich Kernmayer (Kern), and published in the US in 1951. Has anyone read it? How long is it, and is it credible and/or tendentious? I would like some opinions before purchasing it--it ain't cheap.

I read it about 4 years ago. It is not much of a book. I wouldnt waste money on it. Quite short and not good.

I finally got an old copy, and I found it to be one of the more compelling TR memoirs I have read. Tendentious yes, apologetic yes, but not overly so (and the aforesaid do not detract from the book).

Gives a great insight into the mind of an immediate cold-war ex-SS man, with his own reflection on the war, and a psychoanalysis of what he viewed as the Soviet mindset. He also performs his own post-mortem on the Third Reich, and what could/should have been done differently.

Not a memoir of combat/battles, but a must read nonetheless.
