    german wartime films

    i ve just been given a complete set of german avf wartime news films from 39 to 45 , they ve been copied to cd must have taken ages .Very interesting viewing so far i ve nearly finished no 1 (each is 4 hrs long )

    I have been looking for something like that, anyone know who sells them? I would love to have a complete collection of every Wochenschau made.

      FJ and luftwaffe ground forces?

      Terry how many in the set then?,and its all in german right no subtitles in english.And could you let me know how much fallschirmjäger or any other luftwaffe ground troops like HGPD or LWFD are in it eventualy,like seen any yet.

      I suppose it would have eben emael in belgim in 1940,drops in holland,the balkans with crete,russian front,tunisia maybe and italy,like salerno,anzio and cassino etc...Then also the normandy landings,fighting in holland,the battle of the bulge and fighting on the borders and rhine river etc... of germany...
      So if it dose,maybe any chance of getting some copies possibly made tha that have the FJ etc... by chance down the line too,if not no worries?.

          Not bad,but would still want ones that where all on the FJ realy or other luftwaffe ground troops like the HGPD etc...

            Ive got two NDH croatian CDs of newsreels. R A R E and interesting footage as most of that was destroyed and the majority of the people in the film "dissapeared" after may 8th 45.

              i know its slightly off topic, but sainsburys are selling historical dvds -

              "battles Western Front 1939-1941" (dvd)
              +
              "battles Battle of the Atlantic (1939 1945)" (dvd)

              all with original footage, for only £1each.

                    I tried to download on of the clips to watch but my media players do not accept that format. Is there a certain media player you guys are using that will play the clips?
