The best series on WWI (now on DVD)

    Hello folks,
In my opinion this is one of the better series on WWI. The series (The First World War) was shown on the Military Channel. It is top notch.

It is for sale at the Discovery store and I just got my copy in the mail last week. It may just be 10 episodes but it is concise and very well done. I really feel it is a must have.

Looks good but it's more than double the price in the UK!

      Hi Ben,
That is too bad, because it is really well done. They also use a lot of great film footage (I have not seen before) and scenes of what the battlefields look like today.

They really did a good job on the Turks, and that theater of war (something ignored in a lot of shows).

      Regards,
      Jody

Couldn't agree more Jody. I would recommend it too without hesitation.

I watched this when it was first shown in the UK. I thought it's explanation of how the War started was first class.

Ben, the cheapest I've seen it for is £24.99 inc p&p which isn't too bad

Here is the link if interested.
