    Freakonomics

Has anyone read this book? The authors Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner give some great insite on some overlooked economic topics. I would recomend anyone of all ages this book (teens too, because I'm 16).

Hi Mansal. My girlfriend gave me a copy for my birthday and I found it a great read!

    Best Regards,

intelligent and often very funny book!

I read the book some months ago and really loved it. Econ bored the heck out of me in school, but this is a very good book for us "lay" people!

I especially liked the part about how real estate agents don't necessarily want to maximize the sale price of a given home, why drug dealers (and Klansmen) live with their mothers (its a pyramid scheme), and esp. the part about names ("rich people" names becoming "poor folks" names over time, and how a given name has no effect on a person's future success.)

The abortion/crime rate correlation is very interesting, if not very controversial!

Yes I made it a point to tell some anti-abortion republican this little fact. He stammered away calling me a killer.

            Oh well, they'll never learn.

              Great book

Mansal, I did the same abortion/crime thing to a teacher, and we had a fierce debate...

Even though I did spend the night thinking the pros/cons of it...

              Still do sometimes
