Just watched Shock Waves yesterday. Pretty much sucked worse then I thought it would. Great, $4.99 down to drain

Dan--it was pretty good from the perspective of a 15 year-old back in the 70's--no CGI back then.

BTW, according to IMDB.com, it was filmed at the now very pricey Biltmore in Palm Beach, Fla while it was being renovated.

Yeah, I saw in the extra features where parts of the movie were filmed in Palm Beach.

I'm not big on CGI at all, in fact, my all time fav movie is Alien (1979). All the other Alien movies were crap in my opinion! Like you say, maybe Shock Waves was creepy at age 15.

All the action and scary movies today are like cartoons! They try to make up in flashy images what lacks in story- and it seems to be getting worse.
