    Der Wehrwolf

Hermann Loens' book 'Der Wehrwolf' is now available in an English edition as 'The Warwolf'. You can get it on Amazon.

I've just finished it and it was a really good read. A sort of 'Robin Hood' for grown-ups.

Well recommended for anyone who wants to know the story that inspired the Wehrwolf organisation of the 1920s, the use of the Wolfsangel by the Nazis.......and Goebbels' Wehrwolves in 1944-46.

Thanks for the recommendation. I will have to pick up a copy!

I second Robin's recommendation. It also provides interesting insight into the period of the Thirty Years War (1618 to 1648) and the resultant brutality.
