        The story behind the Eagle's Nest

        I had read a book on Berstesgarden years ago and it had a chapter on how Hitler and the big wigs "acquired" the mountain top retreat featured in the film clip. The original owners of the land were forced to sell their property under threat of being placed in a concentration camp. The land was purchased well below market value. Many other Nazi projects were built on land purchased under a forced sale or outright theft.

          So....maybe the eagle's nest was from another propietary? i mean, the lands...

            Kind of reminds me of the recent ruling on eminent domain. I guess the Nazis were not the only ones to use the legal system to steal someone else's property...Tom
