    Book Review-German Commanders of WWII

    Hello folks,
I think that this book by Ospery Publishing is very good and a worth while read. It is done by Gordon Williamson who does a lot of top notch titles with this company.

This book explores commanders of the Waffen-SS, Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine.

The illustrations are great and I must say there were a couple of uniform shots that surprised me.

    Regards,
    Jody

Here is a cropped photo from the above book. It shows at the end of the war U-boat ace Peter "Ali" Cremer. Cremer was leading a Naval Tank Hunter Battalion in the Hamburg area at the end of the war. Look at the uniform he is wearing. If you saw such a thing in a movie, or at a military show you may laugh at it. Here you go an original example making do with what was available at the end of the war. Cool photo!

This photo as well as others were one of the reasons I bought the book.

    Regards,
    Jody
