Can someone help me with the name of an old black & white move? It was from the late 50s I think, and it started out with a gentlemen (American? Brit?) on a train after the war who was asked by his seat mate - after some long stares - why he had pierced ears. The gentleman goes on to recount his time in WWII behind the German lines, and how he escaped with the help of a band of gypsies - hence his pierced ears. It was a fairly good movie as I recall, and the part I remember best was the varied types of uniforms you almost never see in a movie: HJ, RAD, TENO, etc., and they were well done too.
If any of this rings a bell with someone, can you let me know the title?
Thanks.
Scott
