    Triump of the Will re-release

Apparently Triumph of the Will is being re-released very shortly. I have the 2001 release but happen to come across this blurb on a DVD review site...if anyone can find anything on this particular release I'll love to hear from you.

    Tony

TRIUMPH OF THE WILL is, of course, Leni Reifenstahl’s influential and controversial masterpiece, one of the great accomplishments in the history of film propaganda as an art form. The film may have been used to monstrous ends, but without understanding how brilliant the technique in the film is, you can’t get an understanding of how the film inspired people to do and justify terrible things. I haven’t seen this new release, but I’m told it is not just a re-release of Synapse’s already-excellent special edition from 2001. I’m told Don May worked very hard to improve on what he’d already done and release something that’s well worth the double-dip.

This was a great DVD. Some awesome early footage of Hitler and his cronies. I guess I have the 2001 version as well ... although it says 2000 on the DVD. Here is the Jacket Cover of the DVD:

          a little more info

          http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=RYK303015

here's link to what I believe is this latest, remastered version...no other info..yet.

but so far, all I could garner as being different (and noted by VanLuger above) is that this version is newly remastered and has a new translation and a new cover...so far hard to justify if you already have a copy:
          • 2006 Digitally Remastered Windowboxed Transfer From a 35mm Fine Grain Element
          • Original German Language with Newly Translated Removable English Subtitles
