    SS membership number lists book

    Hi,

    I am not sure if I am in the right forum to ask this question. I am looking for a book/booklet that has ss membership numbers with the name and rank things of that nature. I am hoping to cross reference some ss membership pin numbers with some type of information source. Could anyone please shed some light on where I may find such a book or booklet.

    Hi John, the book you need is the SS Officers Deinstalterliste. By it's nature it only lists those men of commisioned rank

    Originals are not cheap, but reprints of these can be found with various dealers, I know Detlev has stocked them in the past. These lists were published every few years. The 1938 examples and the 1944 ones are reprinted I think? They are great research tools and list the Officers name, SS serial number, NSDAP membership number, DoB, awards, promotion dates and current unit.

      I think James R. Bender has a reprint for sale on his site (do a google search for his name and you'll find it)
