Books on fieldpost numbers.

Hi guys,

Maybe someone can help me out.

I'm looking for the correct title and author(s) of a 3 part series of books with all the German fieldpostnumbers in it.

I saw it once at if i'm not mistaken the books have a green cover with writing in gold. I think it was published in 1981 and comes from Germany.

Also, is this a good series for fieldpost number research or is there better since 1981 ?

I have the set on my shelves, you are correct in it's description...green cover, etc. It is a good reference, but I am unsure if there is a better one out there. If I remember correctly these were between $250-$300 about 5 years ago.

If you like (and if no one else knows the name off the top of their heads, I will try to look tonight for the proper Title, etc.

Indeed, that are the books. The series i saw was € 250 but i found it quite expensive but it seems to be the price.

I believe that the book your looking for is called: "Die Deutsche Feldpostubersicht 1939-1945" by Norbert Kannapin. It's a three volume comprehensive Feldpost number listing. I believe that you can now find it in a CD. I'm not sure if they are still in business but you might want to contact via e-mail: albumpub@mindspring.com Is an Album Publishing Co. located in Raleigh, North Carolina in the USA.

I also recommend the Third Reich Study Group, where you can find a SS-Feldpost book published by the TRSG, which has a complete listing of all Waffen-SS Feldpost numbers. You can contact via e-mail: TRSG03@aol.com.

Hi Kris, this cd is for sale on a dutch website for 10 euro, contains a huge amount of fieldpostnrs. maybe a good not so expensive alternative.
