The new Bender Publication Police book by Angolia and Taylor is very good, IMHO. As a police collector, I can say that I believe it is an absolutly necessary first step to understanding the German Police in the first volume of the three volume set. It covers the early history of the German police in some detail (written by HPT) and documents how these Imperial and Weimar Republic period uniforms became the NS Zeit uniforms found after nationalization in 1936. It also shows some very rare and little known uniforms from this period. It is well worth the money and is very well documented. I think you will enjoy it if you have an interest in the German Police.
