I just got a first look at Battlefield 2: Special Forces, an expansion due out this fall. It will include Spetsnaz, SAS and US Navy Seals. Night vision, grappling hooks, nerve gas and gas masks will be added. Looks amazing!

Peter, Is the gameplay much different, or is it more like a different player model? -
They need to release the Mod tools so the modders can make their versions.
Forgotton Hope was the best mod for Battlefield 1942 and I believe they are
doing one for B2, the game needs a WWII mod !
If history is any gauge, (BF 1942) the expansion pac won't hold a candle to the mods.Comment

...bite your tongue, EOD was pretty good as was Desert Combat.
The PzKpfw IV, panther and Tiger along with the Stug (I think they also had
a PzKpfw II) made Forgotton Hope what it was. Watch and see how many
people jump to the mod servers once they are established. Although there
are like 600,000 people on the rank listings- thats alot of people playing.Comment
