Guys, what book about ss uniform and insignia could you recommend me? I would book with detail colour photos.

Hi Sergey,

I have the book: Die Waffen-SS Uniforms and Insignia Autor is Rolf Michaelis
ISBN No. 3-930849-28-3

It is in german and english.
It has about 135 pages.
A lot of period time fotos and about 14 pages with color fotos of itmes.
I think for basic it is good, there are a lot of artikels about the different uniforms.

In my opinion I would buy it again

There are some more very good books on the market
Uniforms of the Waffen-SS
Vol. 1, Vol.2 Vol. 3 Autor Michael D. Beaver
each book has about 400-500 pictures.
I dont have these books so I cant tell you more.

There is a book about Waffen-ss camo uniforms,
I have to look up the exact title of the book
very good and expensive.

The Michael Beaver 3 volume set is an absolute must buy.

Especially in conjunction with his earlier work on camo uniforms too.

Guys what can you say about Peter V. Lukacs & Wade Krawczyk book?

Hi Sergey, as the authors freely admit. there are several fake items of insignia listed in the book. Such as the "Bigfoot" sleeve eagle seen on some of the tunics. All credit to them. Time moves on the new knowledge is found.

But I would go with the recommendations already given. Not cheap I know, but the cost of the books will repay you back in time.

if you are talking about the SS book, then there are some questionable items contained within.

This has been admitted by the authors in the recent past. I have a copy on my shelf, with suitable notations to the questionable items.
