THANKS for the kind words, greatly appreciated. This type of plane is one of those really timeless engeneering marvels, to these day a small number of these are still used as cargo planes by small companys, over here there was one in the polished aluminum look on the fuselage with a red stripe in the middle that looked amazing, if was used as intended but taken care with love by its crew and mechanics, it was sold to an european collector about a year ago, pitty since I loved to see at the cargo area at the airport.

I remember building the old 1/48th scale Monogram or Revell kit of the C47 way back in time.... but it never had any interior details like this. Wouldn't a nice 1/16th or even better a 1/6th scale C47 be nice, would be huge but still a nice plane to tackle

There are some C47 in 1 /16 and at least two in 1/6 scale, these of course are RC models, but with beautiful fuselage details and paintjobs. But I think that with the elimination of the major 1/18 scale plane/tanks/figure producers or their "WWII" line-up, the chances of seeing a big scale 1/18 or biger is pretty slim.....but one never should say never...who knows maybe in the future!!!

I belived I never would see a 1/32 scale B17, Horten flying wing or a 335 fighter.....all of those are available now!!!....the Horten alone is truly a masterpiece of modeling engeneering and magnificent interior/fuselage/engine detail.

Revell is doing a reissue of their vintage C-47, there a lot of scale modelers with fond memories and projects with this Revell kit. I am still trying to find the plastic paratroopers figures that came/come with this kit ...to add to my Trumpeter C47 project, I always like to add the human element to these machines it not only give a sence of scale..but also the historical context it was used for.
