Been working on this for quite a while..lots to be done still..but it's coming along. It's my first time using artists oils, filters and washes with oils. Any suggestions appreciated...I'll have to take some pics during they day.these were taken at night..with and without flash..really changes the way it looks.

Various angles. The detail is (for me) fairly detailed..and I really love this newer Tamiya kitAttached FilesLast edited by Scott A. Hess; 09-24-2011, 01:08 AM.

You don't need too many suggestions. You've done a great job.
The previous comments have addressed the silvering issue. Another technique is to carefully run a scalpel blade along the clear areas of the decals and then apply decal solution. The solution will run under the cuts you've made and really settle the decal.
Also, try to find Gunze Mr Mark Softener which is much more powerful than the Micro products. It's great for Tamiya decals which tend to be on the thick side.
