    Tiger 1 (Dragon Kit)

I just finished my Tiger 1, Dragon Kit 1/32.

Thanks to Tom for introducing me into the amazing world of airbrushing!
Hope you like my Tiger 1.

I did use flash light for these pictures, sometimes I prefer sun light, but it's late and dark outside...

    GreetZ,
    Ernest

You can clearly see the the engine heater (left side / bottom) provided as an opton by this Dragon kit. Also, I really like the engine starter tool (above / middle).

For the Zimmerit I used Revell Plasto (and tiny bit of Revell thinner) and Trompeter Zimmerit tools.

    Tiger Scale...

The Scale of this modell is 1/35 (not 1/32, like I mentioned earlier....).

Thanks for your thread and glad you are posting in this forum. It will be interesting to see your creations now that you are airbrushing.

          Upgrading my Dragon Tiger 1

          Thanks for your kind words.

I just did remove the original decalls and did airbrush new numbers and German signs.
I feel, The decalls don't look nice on the Zimmerit.
So, I made templates and airbrushed new numbers and signs.
After that, I did dry brush, just enough for highlighting the Zimmerit (like worn paint of the number etc.).

          Here are some pictures.

          <a href="http://s1107.photobucket.com/albums/h398/ErnieGilmour/?action=view&amp;current=DSC01393.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1107.photobucket.com/albums/h398/ErnieGilmour/DSC01393.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

              Tiger 1

... Also, these are the two pictures that inspired me to remove the originall decalls provided by Dragon and make my own numbers and signs.

Hi Ernst, very nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's like he just drove away from the eastern front

I knew that an airbrush would open your "model building world"

                      cheers

                          Final updates

                          Just did some slight "damage" updates / enhancing;
You can see the coating coming through on some spots, etc.

Here a nice colour picture of an original Tiger were you can see the coating.

                            Question

                            My last close-up picture.
Anyone know what part of the Tiger 1 this is
(actually, I mentioned it earlier in this thread)
