    Operation Salvage Yard

Well I finally desided to start rebuilding some of my OLD WW2 vehical kits that I built over 20 to 30 years ago. Almost all of them were piled into a box by my parents when they converted my while I was in the service (thank god they didn't just chuck them)

So once I got the box I found 90% of them falling apart and put them into thier own boxes after sorting (What a Mess) where they then proceded to sit out some more time.

So now with being unemployed and semi disable I now have time on my hands to restore them back to or even better then what they were. I've over 20 some kits to work on and will post from time to time my rebuilds.

I've seen the prices of most of these kits now and can't belive the prices of them . My most shocking one was of the Tamiya 1/25 Russian T-34 going for $84.99, I still have a sealed one from Play Co price tagged for $24.89.
Anyways here is my first rebuild which is a 1/35 Tamiya Horst Commandcar and yes what you see in the box is pretty much what the others look like

Still have more work to do in adding more equipment and final touches. I'd like to spatter some real mud on the sides any suggestions on what I could use to make it look real?

My next rebuild will be a jagepanther.

Hey Joe - Glad to read that you have been able to put back together some of your older models. It will be interesting to see some of your others you put back together.

                    Nice work, Joe!

You can mix some talc into paint to give your mud some heft...
