    Tamiya art work

Who can help me finding out who the artist was who did the artwork on the old Tamiya kits? On these kits I can only find his initials M.O.

Does anybody know who he is and/or where I can find some of his work?

    Many thanks,
    Pascal

        Hi Pascal

I have found the answer on your question.

M.O. Stands for Mr Masami Onishi.

Its a very good book about Tamiyas artwork.
It came out in oktober 1986.

        I post some pics

I've always wondered who did the original art for the Tamiya boxes, I'll have to be on the look out for that book!

Hey, does anyone have a copy of the artwork on the Tamiya 'Hunting Tiger' JagdTiger from the 1970's? It showed a Jagtiger passing a knocked out Sherman in the Ardennes. Would love to see it again if anyone has a picture of it.

                      Andy,
Thanks, that's the one . I had that stuck on my bedroom wall for most of the 70's. I wish I'd kept it!!!!

Yeah, I did too but I got rid of them when I got married (wife said Ishould've grown out of them).
Perhaps we could get members to offer hi res scans of old box art???

This is probably the best box art that I have seen, The Graf Spee. Jacques

                              Jacques,
that's great (nicely framed too). Mistake I made was sticking them to the wall with tape (Wife was afraid it'd damage the painted wall )
There must be some more box-art out there, lets see it!
