    JU-52 Seam Problem

I have a model with two pieces which have glued together and need to have the crack filled if possible without destroying any of the detail. I will include some pictures.

Between the hull and the lid.

You could try some correction fluid applied with a cocktail stick, good luck, it's a nice looking model.

Rolf did you make this one or was it a bought one?
This is probably like teaching grandma to suck eggs but when putting together a plastic model dry fit the pieces first to see how they fit, sand down any parts that need sanding to make it fit and then any gaps which cannot be rectified should be filled with a putty and then sanded smoothed and painted. Then you will have a model that fits seamlessly

I made this one on my own. I always dry fit it, I just don't know how it got so far apart.

I am not finished yet but I will post finished pictures!

                  Hallo Rolf
Nice Tante Ju you got there.
If thats the one from revell I have also buildt it,
I also had the same problem.
                  What I did was thise.
I used tape to held the roof down ( let the tape go complete around the "fuselage"), and then I used the glue called vollmer (for train buildings). And I let the tape stay there for a day or two.
But of course you have to do thise very careful.
                  good luck to you.
                  Regards
                  Kjetil Gulli

                  Ps
I think the Vollmer clue is the strongest plastic glue.
I litle bit thicker than Tamayia glue.

Hi Rolf have you tryed extra bond PVA Glue? This is useful when filling in small gaps and involves no sanding smooth. What you have to do is feed the glue into the gap with a brush let it dry then slowly buld it up. The glue takes the form of the shaped plastic with no sanding. You can take off any overspill using a slightly damp brush. It works well for me. If you mess it up you can take it all back off with water as it reacts to this. Give it a go its just trial and error. I find having a dab of glue on a card helps to harden the glue a little and so allows the gap to be filled quicker. Hope this is of some help. Remember though it will react to water and only usefull for small gaps. Looking good . All the best.
