    Merlscheid Chapel

Here's my attempt at making the small church in the famous Battle of the Bulge photos. It's all laser cut paper and cardstock. The Panther tank is from Dragon. It is 1/72 scale. I don;t get much time to build models normally but with the current world situation, that's slowly changing for me. And I need to improve on my photography technique.

That's brilliant. A perfect backdrop for the Panther.

Is it a kit and, if so, was it relatively straight-forward to construct?

Thanks to both of you guys for the nice words.
Yes Mike, it is now a kit and I've tried to make it pretty straight forward.
I don't feel comfortable advertising it here but send me a message and I can get you the information about it.

It was fun to make it starting with the wartime photo, making some guesses about proportions and finding the same Chapel on Google earth and on travel blogs to help figure out details.

The chapel looks very realistic, especially with the paint colours you have chosen and the weathering you have done to it. Do you produce items in other scales?

Thanks again everyone. I'm not very prolific and rarely finish a model to my satisfaction just for relaxation.
                Bern,
I do have other kits in other scales but don't want this post to be advertising. It's probably against the rules and I posted this Chapel just to share something I've finally finished. One positive aspect of being out of work and confined to home.

Send me a message and I will give you the link to my website.

Michael, when posting a model people often ask where the model comes from or who the maker of the model is. In this case you did a great job with the chapel and it just happens that you produced this model. So I have no problems in you mentioning your website.

Thank you Pascal for being gracious and allowing me to post about my website.
The first thing I'd tell you about the website is that I don't think it's the easiest layout to navigate. I'm using the web hosting service because their template interfaces with my payment system and changing that service I've always thought would be a big expense and effort.
That being said, here is the link to my little company:

                          www.monroeperdu.com

I'm happy to answer any questions about the products via email or the form on the website.

Also, so I won't eventually flood this forum with too many posts, here is a link to my Pinterest page that is a gallery of all kinds of models I've created or worked on in some capacity:

                          https://www.pinterest.com/bishop0509...perdu-studios/

And I also should say that I very much enjoy looking at everyone's work here. The subject matter and techniques are a lot more varied than what I see on the dedicated scale model forums I look at.

                            Very nicely done. Real craftsmanship.
You did great work and nice detail especially on the 1/72 scale.

The chapel looks real indeed because of the color’s choice and shading

                            👍🏻
