Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did. Quote - Sophie Scholl - White Rose resistance group

RIP Jason... I didn't know him, but he obviously shared our interest/hobby, and he died in the service of my nation. For this he deserves my undying gratitude and my utmost respect...Godspeed and God Bless, Jason.

I knew Jason before he joined the Army National Guard and we talked about it quite a bit. He was a very patriotic guy who always wanted to enlist into the Army. He told me before he got too old he was going to enlist and he was in 30's when he did. He had a wife and three children when he was KIA in Afghanistan. Jason and I were avid Luftwaffe Field Division photo collectors (he also collected Polizei) and we traded photos and corresponded frequently even after he joined and deployed over to Afghanistan. It is hard to believe that eight years have gone by since I learned of his death while I was overseas working for the Army in Rotterdam, Holland. RIP Soldier (W. Petz SFC-U.S. Army Ret).

Jason was a good guy and it is difficult to believe it has been 8 years since he passed. We exchanged some Polizei materials and he was working on putting a book together. I spoke to him a few days before he deployed and he was excited and upbeat to serve. Tragically, he died in a Humvee roll-over accident while serving his country. I spoke to his wife a few times over the years and I am pleased to report that she is a strong and proud woman.
