Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did. Quote - Sophie Scholl - White Rose resistance group

Tony died of ccancer . He was a Gentleman and a scholar of the old school. He was confident in his abilities, quiet, smiling, "almost fluent" in German as he would say.
He worked for many years as a counter-intelligence agent and the stories he took to his grave would make your hair turn white. He was freinds with Ken Jasper, although neither of them knew the other collected medals until they reconnected on this forum.
Tony was not a man to exaggerate, nor puff his own importance.
He was a man with a subtle sense of fun-always wore white suits at the OMSA conventions and was witty-but never cruel in his humor.
I have many of his notes and research projects that Rick L. passed on to me via Jeff and they show a keen mind-fascinated with Weimar veterans awards and First World War Germany. I suspect he was always fascinated as to the historical question of "Why" and "how" could good people in 1914 have become such beasts by 1941.
    I miss him.
