I try to build up an early M35-Helmet of the Wehrmacht. But I am looking for the true tone "Apfelgrün"! But in the german nomenclatura of "RAL-Colours" there is no "Apfelgrün".
I believe, somewhere I read, the Colour of the early helmets can differ. But I can't remember where...
I tried RAL 6003 "Olivegrün", but in my opinion it is to dark, I tried RAL 6002 "Laubgrün", but it is to bright, it looks like german Police green. Now I try Ral 6005 "Moosgrün".
My studies before this projekt make me think, there was realy not "the one colour" of "Apfelgrün". Helmets I have seen show different shades of green. But that is possibly an evidence of the normal aging with the time.
Any hints or sources!?
