I'm spending a few months in Latvia and therefore taking advantage of the summer and the sites.
During September/October 1944 this part of the front around the village of Moor (nr. Sigulda to the east of Riga) was held by the Latvian 19th SS Division so the first couple of pictures are from the nearby Latvian legion cemetery. All of the dates are around the 28th September.
The next series of pictures are from a local private museum in Moor - a local chap along with some friends has this museum which includes details of the local battle plus some of the stuff dug up either locally or around Latvia.
As you go through the village the same group have also recreated some of the defence lines and bunkers and added a memorial.
Enjoy, I certainly did (apart from the helicopter sized Mosquitoes).
