Momčilo Djujićs brother Chetnik wwii veteran

I had the honor of meeting a wwii Chetnik veteran for breakfast at his house and learn about his brother and his war stories. He was the leader of the Serbian Chetnik youth brigade. In an interview I have with him he recounts his experience during the battle of knin fighting alongside the Croatian Ustaše and the German Wehrmacht against the communist partisans.

There are not many from that area that you can speak to freely in english. It would be worth doing some serious recorded interviewing of him.
I lived in ex Yougo for 8 years but to me history there still seemed like a black hole, heavily influenced by various WWII propaganda that had been reborn and reinforced in the 1990s.
I would love to be able to read some good honnest accounts from that area in English, regardless of the side the person was on.

          .

AND there you have it......the obvious truth and you can hear the same from other people too......having been around Africa and the middle east the relationship of political "marriages and divorces" between the west in WW2, through the cold war, and even now, is the SAME thing. At one point the allies changed allegiances and in order to do this, history had to be rewritten in order vilify. Its not important what the truth its, just what the people believe.

I'm by no means Serbian or linking this to the recent war and its aftermath where cetnik was linked to the image formed after ww2 and in 1991 Vukovar, however, theres a reason why the US pilots who were rescued staged a protest when he was tried...its not black and white and the Balkans is the biggest smoke and mirrors show you could ever imagine, always has been and always will be....
