      Yes - very interesting. I had heard of the discovery of the graves a while back, but not this research. The previous reports had been on the scraps of uniforms and clothing discovered with the bodies.

        nice to read- interesting to match the country of origin to the diet isotpes. A very creative approach to determine events and peoples involved. I´ve read that already the approch to Moscow, actually already en route through Poland was deadly for many due to diseases. The way back of course was hell. The fewest men died on the battlefields. Marching big armies of the time faced constant attrition also without a single shot fired. When battle wounds occured most died of gangrene as the wounds were soiled by the dirty uniforms they wore. War is a very unhealthy business.
