This thought Always gives me a strange feeling... All those guys left behind were killed, died of wounds, died of freezing cold and starvation or were imprisoned.

There was an interview in a newspaper wirh a crewmember of the last plane, shocking and cruel. They had to hit men with rifle butts to stop them, one soldier who realized he would left behind decapitaved himself at the running propeller blades, and all under soviet MG fire.
