Can I get to Westpoint from NYC?

Im going to NYC in april with my wife, and was wondering if its possible to visit west point from there?

Is it far, do I have to take a train, is that safe?

Dan,

West Point is about a two hour drive from NYC, it is very easy to get to and very safe. Not too sure about taking a train, although there is a commuter rail system that runs up the Hudson, it may get you close, then I don't know what you'll do. Right before you hit the main gate you will see the visitors center. The museum is there and you can get on a tour there as well.

Hello Dan,

It's worth going! Only about a 45 min drive from NYC (in off rush hour traffic).
