Thanks for the news! I hope it turns out to be the real gate that was stolen a couple years ago.
Unfortunately, the original ARBEIT MACHT FREI letters themselves were stolen many years ago, some reports say by a GI in 1945.

Could be well stolen 45. The lettering was done 1965. What goes around comes around my favorite saying.

Was found by a Tipp I heard.

In 1945 I don't think anyone would think to preserve death camp so I have no problem with a GI walking away with a gate.
