      Hi,

      stupidity at is best !
Cutting +70 years old trees because YES millions of neo-nazis will go in the axxhole of a forest to see... nothing.
Or maybe the trees were antisemits too ?

Ridiculous. No one care a sh*t about those trees, and how many planes are seeing them each year ?

      See You

Wow! let us be grateful to the junior state officials involved in this decision and the fact they have now saved the world from the dreaded 4th Reich.

Now that they have cut down all those Nazi trees (after so many previous failed and ill thought out attempts during the last 70 years) the world is now safe again from the swastika terror.

Never will those trees breed neo nazis or contaminate simple and innocent minds. It is heartening to know that the junior officials involved knew the difference between a true German Tree with 70+ years patriotic service and a "Nazi" tree before making a selection for the guilty trees and marking them for "special handling" or "special treatment" based on their characteristics and background.

Well done to the public officials involved Perhaps they can put a sign at the start of the forest saying "Nazi trees not welcome here" or "This forest is now free of Nazi trees".

Perhaps the Green Party supported their decision to kill the innocent trees or maybe they were overlooked as part of a final solution in respect of "Nazi" trees? (but who can tell the difference between a Nazi and Soviet tree?)

At last we can all sleep safely now, free from the risk of Nazi tree contimination and the threat of a new world order based on tree politics.

All Nazi trees Raus Raus Raus!.

        Regards

        MMM

          merely attacking obsolete symbols

          it sucks.
everyone runs to destroy the least thing associated with the Nazi past but will do nothing to actually quell the tide of rising strong -man /cult of personality/nationalistic /racialistic politics that is ACTUALLY emerging in the present seemingly everywhere .
          IN short:
it is attacking the obsolete symbols; but not the modern possible equivalents...

That is much better than to cry about some trees in Germany.

              seeing this...

I'm kind of tempted to do the same in my own forest, just to give people something to talk about when they look at Goooogle in about 20-30 years from now...

They were talking about this in the 1980s when I lived there, I think they knew about these before 1992 or there were others. There was a German documentary too where they spoke to a person who was there. I think they were HJ or RAD. I do not think they will do it.

And this is not the only place, there are several of this swastika-plantings all over Germany. Some are well know, others not. Somewhere I read it was a "hype" under forestry staff to do such.
                  This story is a summer-hole filler...nothing more.

If the trees were removed there is still a swastika space in the place where the trees were from the air. Good job merkel. It's no secret anymore.
Maybe the wood can be reclaimed into repro TR wooden cultural items so often seen here being pushed by certain people who continually baffle us with their knowledge of the subject.

Why complain about a WWII story of interest on a WWII website

Do you know what this site is about? Primarily German WWII artifacts and history. This is an interesting story about artifacts and history...why would you cry about this post? This is not the green peace website...

                        Birdie,

"Cutting +70 years old trees because..."
"Nazi trees not welcome here" or "This forest is now free of Nazi trees..."
"to kill the innocent trees "

Does this sound like a discussion about "history" ? Not for me.

Especially the "Nazi trees not welcome here" is brings up a tasteless comparison with well known TR signs. The other statement is even worse. (I am sure the posting was not meant this way.)

The only member contributed to "history" is Johnny R with hist statement who may made it and my remark about forrestry staff.
