    One Hundred Years Ago Today ...

    One hundred Years was the first day of the battle of the Somme.

    The big 'push' on all sides of the German held territory to bring the war to an end....

    Horrific loss of life on all sides but British losses on the first day were truly terrible.

    Many, many accounts, anecdotal evidence and full biology of the battle out there. Please if you don't have time to read any, pause a moment to remeber the fallen.
