New reenactor plea

Hello!

First Let me say thanks for having me here. I am amazed at the skill and expertise of this place. My words fall far short of the level needed. While I apologize if this isn't the place for this I come seeking advice and help. I am very interested in reenacting and I am trying to put together a mid to late war Eastern front uniform to do so. While I have found a number of tunics, trousers and the odd Overcoat that would fit I have had No luck whatsoever finding any field caps ( or ANY head gear, let alone a proper sized M42 Stahlhelm) in my size.

I wear a European size 64 ( or 8 inch size locally).

I know good and well I won't likely find any originals in that size( nor could I afford to risk damaging them) But is there anyplace that I could go to to find a usable Reproduction in my size? If it Helps, I am not looking for officer's caps rather the 2 button M43 Feldmütze for now..

Any help would be appreciated a thousand fold and thank you for your time!

Yes BenK give gd43 a go. They make them to order,so you tell them a size, what you want as in button style and off they go, you will wait for it but it is worth it.

I'll give Him a go.I don't know about his usual wait times or cost but IF he makes them to size I may have finally found hope. I can't thank you two enough. In hindsight I should have spelled out my last name( the sign in page mentioned that) but no matter. I sure am glad I tried here( hard to let go of a dream, eh?).

I own a couple of caps now by GD43 and would recommend them unreservedly. They'll make your cap the way you want it and at a very competitive price, all things considered. Definitely give them a try.
