    Battlefield Walks in Austria/Southern Germany

All, wondering if there are any battle sites akin to what you would see in Halbe or the Seelow Heights in southern Germany or Austria. I will have a rental car, so I am mobile. Will be in Munich and Vienna for about a week. As always, any suggestions appreciated!

            Battle sites Southern Germany

Hello Don, I am recently back from researching and following the American advance into Germany at Wissembourg and Bitch passing through the Westwall and their advance to the Rhine. There is quite alot to see in this area from the Franco-Prussian wars (Battles of Worth and Wissembourg) WW1, Maginot Line and WW2 though you do have to explore a bit to find the best sites.Though technically Southern Germany maybe not south enough for you, however if you need any info regarding this area please feel free to ask.

              Thank you, Robin -

I had a chance to explore areas of the Westwall around Ramstein AFB (Bruchmuhlbach-Misau) last summer. I'll be in the Munich-Berchtesgaden area this time, as well as Vienna.
