    A manned and suicide bomb

War is a time of extreme measures and no doubt one of them took shape in Fieseler Fi103. The following website brings a special report containing an amazing collection of photos of this German design tested by the Luftwaffe in the final years of World War II. To access the photos, visit the link below:

    Thanks for this interesting link.

Wonder who the female is (in a camo flight suit)? Maybe she was a candidate for the mysterious round pilot badge. Or the LW officer on the side, with what appears an RK with Oakleaves?

Looking at the Luftwaffe officer's sideburns and haircut IMHO seems to me that the stop-frame come from a movie. Also some mechanics seem to me quite old…

          Best,

            Best,
I had the exact same thought, but I can't find the B&W movie (did see a color one on youtube.com, but not the same people at all.) I would have thought senior officers would have been Heer types, as Karlshagen/Peenemunde
fell under Heer control (although there were certainly some LW personnel).

                  Hi,

this is taken from the movie "Operation Crossbow", 1965.

Hanna Reitsch is played by Barbara Rütting.

Have to watch that one again!

                    There's another: "Operation Hydra" / "Unternehmen V2":
