          Hi,

to my opinion it is obviously an old cache of the Auxiliary Units, from 1945 up today many secret caches with weapons, ammunitions and other military stocks were found from time to time over the country, sometimes hidden in the hundred of secret bunkers built over the United Kingdom.

          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auxiliary_Units

Many great books exist on the subject, i rode "Fantômes sous les armes", the french edition of "The Last Ditch", book by David Lampe.

It includes a lot of stories about secret caches found after the war...
