Two Commonwealth fallens found in Italy

They have been recovered by some friends of mine:

Unfortunately the remains had no dogtags, so very probably they will remain unknown.
Of course an identification is still possible, in theory.
There must be a list with the names of the missing soldiers for that day and that unit. Analysing the DNA of the relatives of the MIAs I think that some result could be obtained. But I don't know if this will be done. The decision is up to the british authorities, that have taken over the remains.

      Hi,

DNA analysis will probably not be undertaken, the task will be to large given the number of soldiers killed on that campaign.
Who can tell on which day were these particular soldiers killed, without dog tags; a major problem. Many thanks for showing!

      Best wishes,

      John

Of course DNA analysis would be difficult, but not impossible at all: there is a list with the names of the soldiers that were declared MIA in that exact battle, and these names are around 20-25, no more!
