My daughter is in Jacksonville and snapped this photo of a commemoration sign and sent it to me.

Thanks for posting!! A part of the war not many take time to study are the battles along the US Atlantic Coast. The U-boat commander Reinhard Hardegen is still alive at 102 years young!

We visited there about 10 years ago to see friends who moved there. I met a bartender who had seen the exchange when he was a little boy.
