Which manufacturer makes the most accurate Dot 44 uniforms and, in your opinion, what makes it the best.

SM Wholesale does a pretty good job on dot 44. A little on the pricey side, but the quality is high.

I asked a similar question awhile ago about the quality of SM Wholesale smocks, I got a similar response. To some, forum correctness is important.

I am not surprised that they gave you the brush off. This is a forum for serious collectors of original items first and foremost. The drive and demand by 're-enactors' for ever more 'authentic' copies of originals drives the market for fakes. They may be bought with the best of intentions to educate and commemorate in shows etc, but any unscrupulous individual can pass off the best examples (as they have done many times) as originals to the unwary.

Well, be that as it may, where I was raised, I was always taught to be polite to strangers and treat them as I, myself, wished to be treated.

chrischa, you liked that one, huh? I've got a million of them. ironcross, the only issue I have with SM Wholesale is that on my computer monitor, everything on their website has a reddish tint to it. I would love to be able to see some of their stuff in person to see what it really looks like. I've only seen one original example of Dot 44 and the photos I took of it aren't especially good. I took them with my phone in a dark room through display case glass, so they are a little fuzzy.

I used a RB deadstock tunic and copied the print colors and got a dead on match.
The linen fabric is also great.

Ok, you list several different Dot 44 tunics. What is the difference between your "Fury" tunic and the others you have listed?
