A good book on the subject is The Last Days of Hitler by Anton Joachimsthaler (1999)
In it he totally rubbishes Lew Bezemensky's work, The Death of Adolf Hitler, and shows the whole Russian report on Hitler and Eva Brauns autopsies to be a work of fiction.

He suggests that their bodies were never recovered, but that the accepted story concerning their deaths and disposal of the bodies is correct. He shows the finding of both Hitler's and Eva's dental bridges to be authentic and could not have been falsified.

The dental work stored in Moscow has been examined by experts several times - there is no doubt that it was Hitler's dental work. It was attached to his jaw, not some denture that could have been removed and planted to hide his escape. So, unless Hitler had someone remove most of his jaw so he could get away in secret ...
Your reading comprehension and mine seem to differ.

But Stalin remained suspicious. In 1946 a second secret mission was dispatched to Berlin. In the same crater from which Hitler's body had been recovered, the new team found what it believed was the missing skull fragment with a bullet exit wound through it. The Russians also took fragments of Hitler's bloodstained sofa.

Even this failed to satisfy Stalin, who clamped a secrecy order on all matters related to Hitler's death. Unknown to the world, Hitler's corpse was interred at a Smersh centre in Magdeburg, East Germany. There it remained long after Stalin's death in 1953. Finally, in 1970, the KGB dug up the corpse, cremated it and secretly scattered the ashes in a river. Only the jawbone, the skull fragment and the bloodstained sofa segments were preserved in the deep archives of Soviet intelligence. The bunker was destroyed in 1947 and eventually paved over. Then, in 2000, the Russian State Archive in Moscow staged an exhibition, The Agony of the Third Reich. The skull fragment was displayed, but only photographs of Hitler's jawbone were on view. The head of the archive, Sergei Mironenko, said he had no doubt the skull fragment was authentic. "It is not just some bone we found in the street, but a fragment of a skull that was found in a hole where Hitler's body had been buried," he said.

In the wake of Bellantoni and Strausbaugh's findings, Mironenko's confidence was clearly misplaced. But could the fragment of skull belong to Eva Braun, who died at 33 and was laid alongside her beloved Führer in the same crater? "We know the skull corresponds to a woman between the ages of 20 and 40," said Bellantoni, but he is sceptical about the Braun thesis. "There is no report of Eva Braun having shot herself or having been shot afterwards. It could be anyone. Many people were killed around the bunker area."

Sixty-four years later, the world is still in the dark about what really happened in Hitler's bunker on 30 April 1945.

I liked this bit "The expert team on Hunting Hitler initially worked out that the Nazi leader could have made it from his bunker to the airport almost entirely underground, except for the final 200 yards."

Expert team? Idiots the U2 connects to the U6 anyway and always has done.

Well it might not be news in Bavaria but I and several others on here, as well as a national newspaper haven't heard of it. I would have thought that it would have been mentioned on the WAF somewhere at least?

People want and demand science and experts when it comes to conspiracy theory stuff, when they get what they want they still reject everything LOL

If Hitler escape the bunker, it seems he did it alone? ...NONE of his loyal "last days" followers where going with him?...NONE?...Goebbels, Dietrich, Speer, Bormann,Donitz, his personal staff of secretaries or valets that where virtually unknown to outsiders of the inner circle??...if he was taken out by plane, who was the trusted pilot, Bauer, Hitler personal and trusted pilot was at the bunker to the end, and was wounded and taken prisioner by the Soviet army in Berlin, strange that the most important and with the extreame danger of soviet capture, Hitler would not use his mist trusted and loyal pilot.

Hitler was a sick and broken man by April 1945, he knew that the end was near, he made VERY clear that he did not want the fate of the dimise of Mussolini and his mistress and be an "exibit" in Russia, that in his mind was to be avoided at all cost. Apart from that, he knew there would not be a safe place in the world where he could not be found, apart from that, ANYONE who have studied the life, political career and personal views and actions will come to the conclusion that "running away" and hiding was not an "option" he contemplate by any means, in fact when his aides tried to convince him to move his command to the Berghof, he refused.

Every time I see one of these "history change event" I can only think of the power of TV ratings and book deal profits, with REAL HISTORY facts, proof and evidence in the most dark and faraway corners of these "history experts researchers", just the hit of the moment spotlight is what they want, but as all the pictures of UFOS, no matter how good the camera is, clear sky or big of the object....is ALWAYS out of focus.

If you Google it you will see that it was all over the news in 2009 ... BBC, CNN, major national news networks. I've seen it since then on History Channel type documentaries (more than one show).

I think that if it wasn't mentioned on WAF, does not mean it was not international news.

I do remember seeing this in 2009. I also agree with you. Tom

Even before that, some soviet inteligence officer where in doubt that they found every single evidence of caliber in the bunker, mainly because they did not know it was Hitler last Gov/ military command post, a LOT of artifacts, documents and other evidence was taken away as war booty, discaded and destroy or use as fire pile to keep warm, the bunker was not identify as "hand off to the troops" for almost a week after the surrender of the city.

Hitler, Eva B., Goebbels family bodies where found and identify 100% by the soviets, it was the fear and paranoia of Stalin and his constant distrust of everyone around him that made the legend of AH escape a recurring story. The fact that everyone in the bunker and was present until the very end, have told in almost 99% of the time the same story, details and events in those last hours should be enough, most of the bunker survivors where interrogate so extensively and severely that a lie or conspiracy to lie would have come up..it NEVER did.

Now, when these so called "forensic historical experts" tackle the big and final conspiracy question...is really Napoleon Bonaparte the one buried in the tomb today?..jeez..I saw a very nicely made and "historical" posibility movie about an escape by Napoleon from Santa Elena, the movie is called Monsiur N......now...for some people...there another great escape and conspiracy!!!..it will never stop....fiction and reality can become entangled quite easy....the challenge is taking the time to once more separate them and know what are the facts and truth to know the real history of the events, my very personal opinion and view of course, and I respect all my fellow forum members views and opinions as well.
