Hi guys, I feel a great sense of community here, because there has been an overwhelming response from so many of you who have PM'd me about getting a signed copy of Herr Jung's memoirs. I know that you are all respectful of these German veterans and thats really a great feeling. We have a great community here and a great tool through this forum.

Thanks to all those who feel the same about these veterans as I do.
          Tay

            New shipping update.

Hi guys, I just spoke to Mr. Helmut Jung again. He told me that he had received many of your letters with many kind words from several of you guys.
He also told me that he went to the Post Office and found out the following shipping rates...

            Within the US.
            Softcover is $7 for shipping.
            Hardcover is $8.55 to $9.

            In England
            Softcover is about $13
            Hardcover is $15

            In Australia
            Hardcover is $16

I am not sure about other parts of Europe or the rest of the world, but the above rates may indicate similar prices in other parts...
I wanted to say that I had initially miscalculated the shipping rates because I had said that shipping within the US would be $6 and Europe would be around $12. But, I didn't know back then and I was jusst going on estimates. So for the guys who have bought the books directly from Mr. Jung, if you guys could make up the difference when you receive the books from him and send him the difference, it would be wonderful. As it stands, he makes only $4 off of a softcover, so he would be losing quite a bit in the long run.
I appreciate all your respectful letters to him. He was really touched about that.
            Best regards,
            TW

I got the book and it is fantastic, a must read for any collector. You will not be disappointed.

Blood Red Snow has been my standard for personal accounts and this book is equal to it.

It's a very good read. But I have read and re-read the chapters 12 and 13. The time line just doesn't fit (he admits dates are not that memorable). I also have doubts why "Intelligence" would take a buck private, train him for a paratroop drop behind lines. All this about the same time as his being a sharpshooter.

Jaime, perhaps you could ask him directly through a letter?
I have spoken to him many times and he seems a very honest man.
What exactly do you mean when you say the time line doesnt fit?
Regarding his sniper training, why not? It could have happened. Just because we have not heard of it, does not mean it should not have happened.
