44 dot tunic advice on reproduction - SMW

Hello.
Im looking for a very good reproduction of the 44 dot.
Im looking at the SMW tunic - unfortunately, I found the ATF tunic to be too "brown" in the base color.

Have you guys seen the SMW new run of the darker tone he did for the 'fury' movie? Steve has both his normal run as well as another "darker tone" run where the light brown shade looks less tan on his website.

Any advice which looks better? I have not seen either in person.

Lastly, I have seen a few of the SMW "ight tone" from an old run available from some dealers. Have you guys seen these?
I understand the real 44 dot was made in many shades .. unfortunately, I can only invest in 1 tunic and have never seen a real one in person.

The SMW Dot camo is the best I have ever seen produced over the years. You just have to decide which version you like best. Good luck!

The ATF dot is actually quite good and is a better value for the money in my opinion, although the SMW has a very slight edge over it. When both are worn and washed a little, they look essentially the same.
Its not the shade or colors of either make that are an issue in my opinion, as orignals varied considerably.
The main difference from originals is that both makes are better quality in respect to the material used and construction. Original material was very shoddy and no one can reproduce the blend of sub grade cloth used in original uniforms. SMW uses some linen in the blend to get a very similar feel and wear pattern which comes closest to the originals.

S&M wholesale item looks pretty convincing from the pictures, but have to hold it in hand and see up close. Guess I'll have to order a Swatch or pair of trousers to study and keep up with what's new on the block. Was the S&M dot run the camo used in the movie fury?
