Shame that this will be the last official commemoration.
I hope these brave men will manage to make the journey for a few more years to come. It will be a sad day when all these old soldiers have passed on...

Fantastic BBC coverage. The Normandy Veterans' Association says its numbers have fallen to around 600 from about 15,000 and has announced it will disband in November.
